With more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, from dishwashers to line cooks to now executive chefs and owners, Chef Maurilio and Chef Hector created El Taco because they wanted to build a menu inspired from their small towns in the south of Puebla, Mexico. Both Chef Maurilio and Chef Hector wanted to offer the Upper East Side in NYC street style food with authentic flavors through recipes passed down from generation to generation.
