With more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, from dishwasher to line cook to executive chef and owner, Chef Maurilio created El Taco because he wanted to build a menu inspired from his small town in the south of Puebla, Mexico, and offer the Upper East Side in NYC street style food with authentic flavors, fresh, quality ingredients, through recipes passed down from generation to generation.
